A Sky Full of Stars: Natalie & Jamie’s Cyprus Wedding
A Love Written in Sunlight and Waves
Some love stories begin quietly, whispered in the most ordinary of places. For Natalie and Jamie, it began beside the still blue waters of Dimensions Leisure Centre in Stoke-on-Trent. She was seventeen, he was eighteen, both lifeguards keeping watch over swimmers.
Jamie swears it was love at first sight, the kind that stops your heart mid-beat across the pool. Natalie, however, remembers only that he looked like “a baby Justin Bieber.” Their paths soon drifted apart, yet fate had already sketched a line between them.
Years passed. They traveled distant lands, oceans apart yet somehow following parallel adventures—wandering through Australia and New Zealand, even skydiving from the same spot back in the UK. When their worlds finally collided again in 2020, it felt less like coincidence and more like destiny catching up.
This time, there was no denying it: love had always been waiting.
A Sunrise Promise
On a September morning in Tenerife, Jamie held a secret close to his heart. He had planned to propose on top of a volcano, but life had other plans. Instead, he guided Natalie to the edge of the world—where a rocky ledge stretched into the sea, and the horizon was painted in soft blush and gold.
As waves lapped gently below and the first light of day crowned the water, he took her hand, dropped to one knee, and whispered a vow:
“I want to spend every sunrise with you for the rest of my life.”
And so, beneath that awakening sky, Natalie said yes. Their love became forever, wrapped in the music of the sea and sealed with the song that would follow them into marriage—“Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran.
Choosing Cyprus
Cyprus was never just a destination—it was home to their first holiday together, in the soft sands of Nissi Bay. Back then, before the ring, before the promises, they watched weddings unfolding in the sunshine and turned to each other with the same thought: “What a beautiful place to get married.”
Years later, that dream took form at Alassos. With the sea as a backdrop and the island breeze weaving through the day, it became the canvas for their forever.
The Look of Elegance
Natalie’s vision was simple, timeless elegance.
She floated down the aisle in a gown by Rebecca Ingram, Maggie Sottero—a creation of soft grace from Sarah’s Wedding Boutique in Northwich. Her veil, by Richard Designs, caught the Cyprus light like a whisper of heaven. Sparkling jewels from Ernest Jones and Tom Sabo glimmered softly at her neck and wrist.
Her bridesmaids carried her “something blue” in their Ever Pretty gowns, the colour of sky just before dusk.
Jamie stood proud in his military Number 1’s for the ceremony, a striking echo of honor and tradition. Later, he transformed into a sharp Ted Baker sharkskin suit, paired with Dune loafers, every inch the gentleman to match his radiant bride.
A Celebration of Joy
Theirs was not just a wedding, but a symphony of joy.
Guests were invited into a day alive with laughter: garden games spilling across the lawn, the sweetness of an ice cream cart, a prosecco tower fizzing like captured starlight. Music drifted on the air—Kirstyn McCann’s piano, Zack Evangelou’s sultry saxophone, and DJ Jason filling the night with rhythm.
Their grand entrance to ABBA’s “Gimme Gimme Gimme” set the tone—napkins whirled in the air, cheers filled the space, and joy wrapped itself around every guest.
When they stepped onto the floor for their first dance, twirling to “For My Hand” by Ed Sheeran & Burna Boy, the choreography nearly unraveled when Jamie’s hand unclasped her bustle and her train spilled free. Natalie laughed, held her balance, and danced on—because love steadies us, even when the floor shifts beneath our feet.
Later, they slipped away from the crowd. Hand in hand, they wandered under fairy lights, pausing to watch their guests spinning on the dancefloor. In that quiet moment, they simply breathed. This was it. Their dream, alive and glowing before their eyes.
And then, as fireworks bloomed against the night sky to Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars,” the celebration lifted heavenward—just as their love had all those years ago by the pool, written in starlight before they even knew it.
The Dream Makers
The Planner
Behind the scenes, Kerry Barker of Cyprus Dream Weddings wove it all together with care.
“Absolutely fantastic,” Natalie recalls. “Kerry is one amazing woman and we couldn’t have done any of this without her! From my very first email through to the day itself and even after, her communication and support were better than we could have hoped for.”
The Photographer
And then, there were the images—the captured fragments of forever.
“Brilliant from start to finish!! Petros and Ifigenia were amazing, not only with photography and cinematography but helping with the little things like when my necklace got tangled. Petros knew exactly what he was doing and has managed to take the MOST AMAZING photos!”
Natalie smiles when she adds, “We’ve sat through the photos a couple of times now and still pinch ourselves at how beautiful they are. We can’t thank Petros and the team enough for capturing the most gorgeous photos throughout the day.”
Words for the Future
Natalie and Jamie share their wisdom with other couples:
“It’s your day. Don’t let anyone else decide what it should be.”
“If you’re unsure about booking something—fireworks, entertainment—say yes. We didn’t budget for some extras, but they made our day unforgettable.”
“Be organised. Book your photographer, makeup, and hair well in advance if you want the best. It will be worth it.”

From lifeguards at seventeen to lovers beneath a Cyprus sky, Natalie and Jamie’s story is proof that some loves are written long before we recognise them.
Their wedding wasn’t simply a day—it was a collection of moments: a sunrise promise, the sweep of a veil in the wind, the laughter of friends, the sparkle of fireworks, and the stillness of two souls walking hand in hand beneath the stars.
And thanks to the lens of Photo Studio Eleven, those moments will never fade.
